Cherriots LIFT Paratransit

Shared-ride, origin-to-destination service for qualifying individuals with disabilities who are unable to use fixed-route bus service. Operates the same days and hours as local bus service.

Free Personalized Program

Free Travel Training Service

Cherriots offers free 1-on-1 personalized travel training to help seniors, individuals with disabilities, and new riders learn how to use the Cherriots bus system safely and independently.

What You Learn: Trip planning, reading schedules, using the Umo app, boarding with mobility devices, and making transfer connections.

Fixed-Route Buses Features

  • Low-Floor Boarding Ramps

    Every fixed-route Cherriots bus is equipped with a low-floor ramp or lift and kneeling suspension for step-free boarding.

  • Mobility Device Securement

    Operators provide assistance and secure wheelchairs, power chairs, and scooters in designated front securement bays at no cost.

  • Priority Seating

    Front seating is reserved for older adults and riders with disabilities. Operators request compliance from other passengers.

  • Audio & Visual Announcements

    Major stops, intersections, and transfer points are automatically announced over internal speakers and digital displays.

Cherriots operates its programs and services without regard to race, color, or national origin in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
